Printer stopping
on: March 19, 2012, 18:24

First of all my setup: Beta Huxley with sanguinololu electronics, Team 4GB Micro SD, Windows 7, printing with standard firmware from pronterface, gcode generated with slic3r

I now had ~3 bigger prints that just stopped half way through (RRP X motor bracket for example) while printing from SD card.

I havn't saved the status window of pronterface but it stated something like this:

ok T:190 B:70

Printing SD Byte 78400/90512

ok T:190 B:70

Printing SD Byte 78900/90512

ok T:190 B:70

Unknown Command

Unknown Command

Unknown Command // after this nothing happens at the printer

ok T:190 B:70

Printing SD Byte 82500/90512

ok T:190 B:70

Printing SD Byte 82500/90512

ok T:190 B:70

Printing SD Byte 82500/90512

ok T:190 B:70

Printing SD Byte 82500/90512

Anyone else experienced something like this? Sometimes it seemed to get a bit slower before the "crash".

maybe if someone else had this problem: Seems like my SD-Card module (SDSL) is making trouble… with sprinter i had these random stops, now i upgraded to marlin and i can't get it to work at all.

With marlin and baud 250000 however it looks like i can print stable directly from pc, atleast i had no bigger print fail since then.

Printer setup: beta Huxley with Sanguinololu 1.3a, ATmega1284p, Marlin firmware from https://github.com/rhysjones/Firmware/tree/master/Marlin_Sanguinololu

You have no commands in your GCode file which the firmware would not understand?

no, can't even get the file list… "sd init failed", tried FAT 16/32 on different SD cards. Firmware pins are correct and all but since it's working well without SD @baud250000 i only would go back if there are failures in the future, printing without sd uploading and so on is quite pleasent :) Maybe i play around with the now obsolete 644p.
